Become an AmbassadorI am a high school student studying in Australia with a curious interest in the contemporary issues that affect us socially, economically and environmentally.
This website was created after I found myself with questions I wanted to ask but didn’t have the opportunity to. The majority of these inquiries were issues affecting my generation, our environment and how to protect it, navigating friendships, while entering the world of post-high school education and career prospects. These questions and emotions were at times daunting and exciting for the teenage brain to process and compose.
I created this platform so that I could find some answers and to also express the views of myself and others in order to navigate our way into adulthood.
I am so grateful to have the help of like-minded teens from around the world transforming our ideas, questions and curiosities into information, action and change. Join us in championing this journey towards youth education and empowerment!
I am originally from the eastern city of Ghouta in Syria. When I was 15yo I started filming and reporting on the war from Syria, to share with the world the horrors of the bombings, death, and destruction occurring every day in my homeland.
I lived through eight years of the war in Syria, seven in the eastern Ghouta area of Damascus, and one year in Idlib. I share our stories, the reality of my people, the Syrian people, here, and on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
In 2019 I moved to Turkey with my family and we are safe now. But the war in Syria goes on (for over nine years), and I will continue to report the news to keep the world informed.
I am a high school student living in North Carolina. My interest in community wellbeing and environmental conservation has led me to research microplastic pollution.
My hope is to develop a synergy between our environment and every day lives through sustainable practices. I joined TeenMeets to raise awareness and engage others in exploring the implications of microplastic pollution.
I am also co-developing a website with a friend on microplastic pollution in freshwater systems, to help others understand how pervasive microplastics are in our society.
I am a high school student from Brazil who’s interested in topics that affect today’s youth, especially environmental issues and the stigma surrounding mental health.
My goal is to show what we can do, and are doing, to make this a more beautiful place to live. I also wish to share people’s stories and provide advice on improving mental health.
I manage two fundraisers, the first is a national campaign to distribute food to families in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability. The second is an international project for a UK NGO, working on conservation and wildlife protection in the most pressured African national parks.
I am a high school student from New Delhi, India. My interests are getting along with people worldwide and getting to know the cultures of different countries. This lets me connect with people from different socioeconomic, ethnic, and political backgrounds, creating a space to enjoy what we have in common and also to celebrate our differences. I am passionate about networking, and I am also a part of international organisations such as United Voices (UV) and Youth Research Vox India.
I am a huge advocate of gender equality. I feel like everyone in this society has the right to live his/her life irrespective of their gender. I am very much inclined towards educating girls, women in business, and STEM. In my home country, businesses are dominated by men, and women entrepreneurs make up a mere 13.76% of total entrepreneurs. This puts India at 52 of 57 countries in the index of women entrepreneurs. Worldwide, women are not getting the opportunities they should. I want to change the thoughts and opinions of people on this and want to make a huge difference in the world.
Hi! My name is Ved and I am a 17 year old living in Dubai. I joined TeenMeets simply because I was amazed by its concept to digitally spread awareness on a myriad of issues all across the world.
As a person who underwent and successfully battled mental health issues during lockdown, I would love to make this my focus and spread awareness on the same, and do my bit to ensure that each individual coming across my projects becomes more mentally fitter and happier individuals.
As a teen born in China living in Australia, it’s difficult for me to be influenced by what I learn in Western education whilst still trying to remain true to my Chinese heritage. However, my ethnicity does not define me and I have since developed a passion for both web design and reading, which I’ve combined to create a website for my school that releases reading recommendations, in an effort to encourage the love for reading in my community.
Like all high school students, I struggle with self-confidence, but I am making efforts to trying to love myself for who I am through researching skincare products and teaching myself more about the beauty industry. I have grown to develop more self-respect and compassion for the environment, as I learn to recognise the harmful impacts of cosmetic companies that use ingredients or test products on animals. After experiencing the benefits of self-love, I hope to inspire others to recognise that being responsible for what you do to yourself and having the conscious mind to fact-check or do your own research about things you read online will lead to a more fulfilling, sustainable lifestyle.
